One more Georgian library stared conversion of catalogues to electronic format. Now Kharagauli municipal library (director Nana Lursmanashvili) installed OpenBiblio ILS and started entry of biblio-records. 

Interesting that instyallation was made distantly by staff of Library Association, while training provied by colleagues- neighbours from Khashuri municipal Library (Dir. Diana Gelashvili).

Georgian Library Association participates in 2009-2012 (ext. to Jan 2013) European Commission TEMPUS project “NEW MASTERS PROGRAMME ON LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE” (Project 14502 l-TEMPUS-2008-UK-JPCR).

Georgian Library Association together with National Committee of ICOM and National Committee of ICOMOS founded a National Committee of “The International Committee of the Blue Shield (ICBS)”.
Ms. Manana Tevzadze was elected to serve as a director of this new organization.

Embassador of Lithuania Jonas Paslauskas, Lithuanian guests, president of Georgian Libraruy Association Irakli Garibashvili participated in an opening of new library for children in Khashuri.
